ZF to employ 600 people in the first CO2-neutral factory in Serbia

ZF Serbia, which operates under Germany’s ZF Friedrichshafen AG, is one of the most technologically advanced companies in Serbia, which develops and tests innovative solutions for e-mobility.

The company operates in the Pančevo industrial zone and has a research and development centre there and a factory, which produces electric motors for hybrid vehicles. Plus, there is a newly built plant with zero carbon dioxide emissions, the first of its kind in Serbia, but also one of the first within the Electric Drive Systems Division of the ZF Group.

The new factory will employ around 600 people and it will produce electronics, i.e. hardware that ZF engineers develop and test in the company’s research and development centre in Novi Sad.

Milan Grujić, Director of ZF Serbia and the President of the German-Serbian Chamber of Commerce, says that the new, CO2-neutral factory an excellent thermal insulation and heat pumps with energy recovery that provide both heating and cooling. The factory also has solar panels for electricity generation and a wastewater treatment facility in order to significantly reduce the impact on the environment.
