On Friday, employees of the Geox shoe factory in Vranje went on a strike due to unpaid overtime and further extension of working hours.
The company’s management assured them that everything will be sorted out on Monday (today) and that their overtime would be paid.

No major news outlets have reported about the strike except for the official website of the city of Vranje. Apart from protesting against not being paid overtime and longer working hours, the workers are also protesting against not being paid sick leave immediately like employees of other companies, but with a delay of about a month.
