Low cost carrier Wizz Air will be reinstating its Nis-Malmo route on April 17 this year, the airline has confirmed.
The company’s press release states that they will have two weekly flights from Nis to Malmo – on Wednesdays and Sundays – and, as of mid-September – on Mondays and Fridays too.
The Nis-Malmo route was in service from June 2015 to January 7, 2019, when Wizz Air’s operations in Nis stopped. However, due to an increased interest from passengers, the airline decided to reinstate the flight, as the aircraft occupancy was excellent.

To remind, in mid-September last year, after the announcement that the Nis-Malmo flight would be discontinued, an initiative called “We are going to fight for Nis airport” was launched. The initiative organizers asked the management of Nis Airport to inform the public of the real reason for the discontinuation of this flight, as well as about the communication between the Serbian government and Nis Airport regarding the discontinuation.
