Starting in April and throughout summer, the low-cost airliner Wizz Air will not fly from Niš to Vienna and Dortmund. The inspection of the engines on Wizz Air’s planes is the reason for cutting back on the number of flights from the Niš airport.
The reason for the suspension, which applies not only to the Niš airport but also to Wizz Air’s entire network, lies in the fact that the airline is experiencing operational difficulties due to problems with emergency services and inspections of Pratt & Whitney engines.
The airliner, which has been flying from Niš for almost a decade, in the coming period will only have flights to Basel and Memmingen, seven weekly flights to those destinations.
The Niš airport authorities say that passengers who want to fly from Niš to Vienna can still do so via Ryanair.
