It’s Thursday, and time for our report about the cultural and entertainment events coming up this weekend.
Event: Exhibition „The Birth of Humanoid Robotics“
Place: The Science and Technology Museum, Skender-begova 51
Time: Open until 31st January, from 10 am to 8 pm
Visitors will have the opportunity to see the first prosthetic robotic hand – “Belgrade’s hand”, the first exoskeletons in the world, the first industrial robot of the anthropomorphic type UMS 1, the preserved parts of the Active Suit, the prestigious Joseph Engelberger robotics award given to professor Miomir Vukobratovic, the creator of the zero-moment theory which is still used today for the android movement around the world, and much more. The admission is free.
Event: Exhibition of paintings by Paja Jovanovic
Place: The Jevrem Grujic House, Svetogorska 17
Time: Every day, from 4pm to 8 pm
Paja Jovanovic is one of the greatest Serbian painters whose paintings sell for exuberant prices even today. A realist inspired by Serbian history and everyday life of the people, Jovanovic (1859-1957) made a significant influence on education, culture and patriotism of his nation. Serious painter Pavle Paja Jovanovic was. The exhibition at the Jevrem Grujic House consists of 38 of Jovanovic’s paintings.
Event: Concert by Israeli choir Adi
Time: 25th January, 8 pm
The Adi Choir was founded in 2006 and consists of 24 singers, all former students of music schools and academies in Israel. The repertoire of the choir covers various music genres – from medieval to modern pop music. The admission is free.
