Week of Italian Cuisine in the World underway

On the occasion of The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, you can choose some of the most valuable and prestigious Italian products in a few clicks on the website shoppster.com, and take a bit of the spirit of Italy home.

Also this year, from 22 to 28 November, the Italian Embassy in Belgrade is celebrating the “Settimana della Cucina Italiana nel Mondo” (The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World), a traditional event of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation that promotes Italian cuisine and quality food products simultaneously in all Italian Embassies, Consulates, cultural institutes and ICE offices around the world.

The initiative, now in its 6th year running, is titled “Tradition and Perspectives of Italian Cuisine: Awareness and Assessment of Food Sustainability”. Particular attention is devoted to the promotion of “Made in Italy” products and the fight against the widespread phenomenon of “Italian sounding”. To this end, the region’s largest online and TV shop, shoppster.com, has joined the initiative this year, dedicating part of its site to “Made in Italy” products.

In addition to food and beverages, the Shoppster website has included Italian fashion and cosmetics, small household items and appliances, toys and cookware sets in its offering this week. There are currently over 80 Italian brands on offer and the idea is to have even more in the future.
