Vukadinović: Students at 44.4 per cent, Vučić at 41.7

According to a New Serbian Political Thought (NSPM) survey for September, the Students’ List – Students Win holds an lead over the United Serbia list led by Aleksandar Vučić in the upcoming parliamentary election.

Đorđe Vukadinović says that both lists, according to their research, have passed 40 per cent.

“The students have grown slightly more, holding 44.4 per cent, whilst United Serbia stands at 41.7. Previously, it was 39.6 per cent for the Students’ List and 37.5 for United Serbia,” Vukadinović stated for N1.

However, he points out that the survey was conducted in early September, prior to the collection of signatures and long queues of support for the students, as well as before the “People’s Serbia” coalition decided to withdraw from the elections in favour of the Students’ List. It also predates the developments within Branimir Nestorović’s “We – Power of the People” movement and the expulsion of Branko Ružić from the SPS.

At the time of the NSPM survey, the vetoing of Vladan Đokić and Milo Lompar from the Students’ List also occurred, which could likewise impact the poll results.

Vukadinović highlighted that a referendum-like atmosphere is developing, making it questionable whether a “third force” exists – namely, any other list that will clear the electoral threshold.

“A referendum-like atmosphere is building, and that threatens everyone else. This includes satellite parties close to or part of the government, as well as opposition groups attempting to run independently. I am referring to the New DSS and European Serbia,” Vukadinović noted.
