The government’s goal is to take economic growth to four percent in 2017, “which will prove that Serbia is becoming a successful country.” The PM went on to say that if Serbia managed to achieve such growth, it would put it among the top three countries in Europe.
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said this on Wednesday, at the opening of a new Hemofarm pharmaceutical company’s plant in Vrsac, northeastern Serbia.
“This could happen within the next 12 months,” he said.
Four-percent growth will mean that people will have higher salaries and pensions, in the public and the private sector alike, Vucic said.
“If we have four percent, that will be a proof that we are becoming a successful country,” Vucic noted, adding that this was crucial for Serbia.
