Serbian President and SNS candidate for prime minister Aleksandar Vučić has shortened the deadline for calling elections to a maximum of 25 days and called on his supporters to join the fight to defeat the evil of the blockades that has descended upon the country.
CRTA has counted that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić appeared on television 49 times between August 1 and 11, 2026. And even after this fleeting record, he continued at the same pace. On Sunday, he joined the “Kolegijum” programme on Informer television to talk once again about everything under the sun. Among other things, for who knows how many times, he announced that parliamentary elections would be called “very soon” because that is what the “blockaders” are demanding and, apparently, he wants to accommodate them. “I will fulfil the blockaders’ demands, just so they don’t get surprised”, said the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) candidate for prime minister, announcing that the elections would be called in “15, 20 or 25 days” and that the election campaign would last between 45 and 60 days, Politika reports.
Evil foreigners are training the blockaders
He explained to Informer viewers that “the blockade movement is seriously preparing for the upcoming electoral race” and, naturally, that foreign actors are also involved in the preparations. “Foreigners are conducting training. Since they don’t have their own activists, in Vranje, Dubnica and Vranjska Banja, they bring in blockaders from Belgrade and Niš to run the campaign, in line with what they have been told at certain embassies. Everything they said was forbidden, that’s exactly what they did”, Vučić said, without bothering to explain what exactly “they” had said was forbidden.
What followed was a lengthy paean to the good rule of the Serbian Progressive Party, which offers citizens arguments and wants to unite Serbia, contrasted with the evil blockaders who want to divide the country and “exploit everyone who stands in their way, even those on their own side”.
He also spoke about the allegedly vast sums of money at the blockaders’ disposal to pay their mercenaries, while he and his supporters are fighting “with energy, enthusiasm and good results”.
Some are on holiday while the decisive battle is being fought
The SNS leader also said he was sorry that “some people from the political bloc to which he belongs had not fully understood the significance of the upcoming political struggle”, while he has been persistently explaining to them that there is no time for holidays while the decisive battle for Serbia’s survival is being fought. “Unfortunately, many did not listen to me. But I am grateful to my colleagues from the SNS who worked hard and did not take holidays, wanting Serbia to defeat this great evil”, Vučić said, adding that from Monday he would resume his tour of Serbia.
