Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo President Hashim Thaci are scheduled to meet on Sunday, 24th June, at a new round of dialogue in Brussels, RTS confirmed.
The European Union External Action has confirmed said that the two presidents are due to discuss the comprehensive agreement on the normalization of relations at the new meeting, while the implementation of already reached agreements will be in the second topic of discussion.
The high-level dialogue between President Vucic and Hashim Thaci was last held on 23rd March in Brussels. At that meeting, the two officials discussed the agreement, while the President of Serbia insisted on the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities.
Only three days after that meeting, the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric was arrested in Kosovo and the relations between Belgrade and Pristina took turn for worse.
On Friday and Saturday, before the new meeting of the two presidents, another round of technical talks should be held by Belgrade and Pristina delegations.
The EU did not want to comment on today’s EU – Pristina delegation meeting. Kosovo officials have so far refused to continue the technical dialogue with Belgrade, conditioning their presence by the change in the agenda and shifting the focus from “the Community of Serb Municipalities to unfulfilled stipulations in other agreements, including energy.”
