The Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Goran Vesić, said today that the unregulated taxi drivers would no longer be allowed to take passengers from Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport.
“This is the first day after ten years that we don’t have chaos with taxi drivers at the airport because all the services that should be present are there,” said Vesić.
He added that a few days ago, the representatives of the airport, the line ministry, the Interior Ministry, the Belgrade government, the communal police and the traffic inspectors met on two different occasions to discuss that matter.
He said that the unregulated taxi drivers, who charged passengers taxi fees that were several times higher than the regular ones, are now banned from being on the airport grounds.
