Veselinović: City of Belgrade Borrows Three Billion Dinars

The document released by Veselinović states that the loan amount of three billion dinars or approximately 25.6 million euros is being taken to finance current liquidity

Member of the Temporary Governing Body of the City of Belgrade, Dobrica Veselinović, announced on his social media account ‘X’ that a decision will be adopted at today’s session for Belgrade to borrow three billion dinars from one of the commercial banks.

In the document posted on Veselinović’s social account, it states that the loan is for three billion dinars or approximately 25.6 million euros, and that it is being taken to finance current liquidity.

“The City of Belgrade, to secure funds for financing all necessary expenses during the interim financing period from January to June 2024, needs to take a loan under the most favorable conditions from a commercial bank for 3,000,000 dinars to finance current liquidity,” it is stated in the draft decision.

The draft further explains that the Ministry of Finance has agreed that the City of Belgrade can take a loan.
