The international new music festival, Ring Ring will be held from May 15 to 20 in the Student Cultural Center (SKC) and Studio 6 of Radio Belgrade. The Festival will feature two world premieres and a series of solo performances by musicians from different parts of the world.
The organizers have confirmed the performances of two top jazz pianists, Satoko Fujii from Japan and Achim Kaufmann from Germany, the Serbian pianist, Nataša Penezić with her repertoire “Piano & Voices”, as well as all the popular music improviser, Marina Džukljev.
Isabelle Duthoit, Franz Hautzinger, Hans Koch and Jonas Kocher will perform for the second time at the festival, while jazz dancers Daniel Levin and Edoardo Marraff are coming to the festival for the first time.
The festival starts on May 15th in SKC with the domestic project “Essays about Microphones” and “Metamorphic songs” (Serbia / Austria / France), featuring Svetlana Spajić, Marina Džukljev, Tijana Stankovic, Isabelle Duthoit, Lav Kovac, Franz Hautzinger, Bogdan Rankovic and Ervin Malina.
On May 18th, the audiences will be able to see the performances of the saxophonist Edoardo Marraffa (Italy) and Dieter Kovačič, known as “dieb 13” (Austria), while the percussionists Antez (France) and Hans Koch / Jonas Kocher / Gaudenz Badrutt (Switzerland) will perform on May 19th. The festival will be officially closed on May 20th with the performance by Achim Kaufmann’s trio Grunen (Germany) at Studio 6.
