Two German investors to complete construction of their factories in Svilajnac

The German electronics company HDT and A2000, which produces printed circuit boards, are completing the construction of their respective factories in Svilajnac. Together, these two companies will employ 200 highly skilled workers.

HDT, which signed a contract with the municipal authorities at the end of last year and bought the land in the Svilajnac Free Zone, is completing a factory spanning 2,000 square meters that will employ 100 workers, said the mayor of Svilajnac, Predrag Milanovic for the Tanjug news agency.

In the second industrial zone, the A2000 Company is building a factory spanning over 1,000 square metres. The production will be launched in the second half of this year and 100 workers will be employed, said Milanovic, noting that A2000 has purchased one hectare of land in this area.

Svilajnac is already home to factories of the world-renowned companies like Panasonic, Ariston, Wosloch-Schwab and soon Swiss Regent.

“Thanks to these companies, Svilajnac has demonstrated that it is ready and capable of big projects and serious investors,” said Milanović, emphasizing that, during the state of emergency in Serbia, no investor in Svilajnac has laid off workers or stopped production, “which means that the economy of Svilajnac has a solid foundation”, he concluded.
