Turkish Tai Group wants to invest in Serbia

Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic has met in Istanbul with the representatives of the Turkish company Tai Group to discuss the Group’s interest for investing in Serbia.

“Serbia is a fertile ground for business development and offers by far the best conditions to foreign investors”, President Vucic has said.

Tai Group is one of the biggest textile companies in Turkey and is interested in opening both a textile factory and a development centre in Serbia that would employ between 1,500 and 2,000 workers. Also, the two sides discussed a possibility of the Turkish company investing in several Serbian towns, including Kraljevo, Raska and Loznica.

The company’s representatives have expressed their interest for investing in tourism too, especially in Serbian spas – the press release reads.

President Aleksandar Vucic is on an official visit to Turkey where he is participating at the 22nd World Petroleum Convention in Istanbul. He has also met with Mesut Toprak, the CEO of the Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Company.
