Turkish automotive company to build a factory in South Serbia

A Turkish company which produces rubber parts for Mercedes-Benz has visited 13 towns in Serbia, with the town of Leskovac piquing their interest – said the Mayor of Leskovac, Goran Cvetanovic.

Earlier, Cvetanovic confirmed that he was about to meet with a Turkish company that is interested in building a new factory in Vranje, Bojnik or Leskovac.

“We had talks with a company that is interested in constructing a factory on the Vranje-Bojnik stretch this week,” Cvetanović said, adding that the Turkish investor expressed the biggest interest in Leskovac.

“They are very interested in the land plot near Aptiv’s factory. The arrival of the Turkish investor also depends a lot on the Serbian government and President Aleksandar Vučić, who want Serbia to develop regionally,” Cvetanović said.

He added that the Leskovac authorities had already prepared the required infrastructure, in case the Turkish company chose that location.
