The wait time at the border crossings with Hungary is between 1 and 1.5 hours, at the border crossings at the Montenegrin border between 1.5 and 2, and at those with Croatia between 30 and 60 minutes. If you choose Preševo to exit Serbia you will have to wait for an hour, and close to 30 minutes entering the country.
The traffic is much denser at all roads leading to Montenegro and on motorways leading to Bulgaria and Macedonia.
Another major influx of tourists and a large number of foreigners passing through Serbia is the reason why the wait time at individual border crossings is so long.
Over the past 12 hours, 35,000 people have crossed the Preševo border crossing alone. At certain times of the day, the wait time here was between 60 to 90 minutes.
The traffic is much more relaxed on the two sections that are being built nearby, that belong to the southern segment of Corridor 10, and and one that is 8km from the Preševo border crossing.
The Border Police Directorate announced that at the wait time at the Horgoš border crossing (both entering and exiting the country) is about an hour. At the Bački Vinogradi border crossing, exiting the country, the wait time is 1.5 hours.
The wait time at the Gostun border crossing, on the Montenegrin-Serbian border, is an hour and a half, and about two hours at the Šid border crossing.
At Batrovic, on the Croatian-Serbian border, the wait time to enter Serbia is between 30 to 60 minutes, and vehicles usually wait for about an hour to exit Serbia, near Šid.
The wait time to enter Serbia at the Sremska Rača crossing is about an hour, while trucks have to wait up to four hours to exit Serbia at the Batrovci crossing.
According to the latest information obtained from publilc enterprise Roads of Serbia, the wait time at the toll station near Stara Pazova, on the Novi Sad-Belgrade motorway, is about 15 minutes.
