Ilija Srdanović, top electoral candidate of the Students’ List, has turned down Aleksandar Vučić’s second invitation to a TV duel, stating that he is under no obligation to speak with just anyone.
Aleksandar Vučić, head of the United Serbia electoral list, has once again, for the second time, invited Dr Ilija Srdanović, who heads the Students’ List, to a television debate, and once again, he has turned him down.
On Instagram, he wrote, “Ignoring is quite painful,” and added, “…you don’t have enough credit for this call.”
Srdanović had previously stated that candidates on the Students’ List are not obliged to talk to just anyone unless it is outlined in their election campaign schedule. Instead, they will speak “with people who have something to say and know something,” and “if they’ve already said it all, there’s nothing further to discuss with them,” because they have “smarter and more important things to do in building a better Serbia.”
He hasn’t earned it
“Given the current situation and the way the Students’ List was formed, none of us has any absolute need to get involved in that way with a person who has not earned it,” Srdanović said regarding Vučić’s previous call for dialogue.
Earlier today, Vučić renewed his invitation for Srdanović to a TV debate, stating that it could take place “whenever he likes and wherever he likes.”
“It can even be with those bosses of theirs at N1 or Nova S. It can even be two, three, four against one,” Vučić stated in an address to the public via TikTok.
