The International Book Fair, the largest cultural event in Belgrade, Serbia and the region, will be held from 11 to 19 September at the Belgrade Fairgrounds under the slogan “Povratak napisanih”, said the city’s culture secretary, Ivan Karl.
The decision was made after a session of the Book Fair Council, followed by a meeting with publishers’ representatives.
“We decided to have it a month earlier, in September, to make the event as comfortable as possible for exhibitors, participants and visitors. I believe that with a constructive approach, joint work and commitment of everyone, the Book Fair will be successful and will pave the way for other traditional events at the Belgrade Fair,” said Karl.
He underlined that this year’s Book Fair would be held in a traditional manner and in compliance with the current epidemiological measures.
“The novelty is the extension of the event by one day, so the 65th Belgrade International Book Fair will start on Saturday, instead of Sunday, and will last for nine days, from 11 to 19 September,” he concluded.
