This is what the new Clinical Centre of Vojvodina will look like

At session joint session of the Government of Serbia and the Government of Vojvodina, which was attended by the Serbian PM, Ana Brnabic, the head of the Vojvodinian government, Igor Mirovic and the management of the Clinical Centre of Vojvodina, those present approved of the document that stipulates the reconstruction and extension of blocks B and C of the Clinical Centre of Vojvodina.

The money from the third credit instalment, which will be used for the reconstruction and extension of the Clinical Centre, agreed between the Government of Serbia and the European Investment Bank, has already been paid by EIB into the state’s account.

The EIB has confirmed that the tendering documentation is valid, whereby the conditions have been met for the public procurement procedure for the contractor which will build units B and C to be launched. The agreement with the selected bidder should be signed by the year-end.

Parallel with this, the management of the Clinical Centre of Vojvodina has already obtained the building permit for the reconstruction and extension of units B and C, with the Republic of Serbia as the contractor and the Clinical Centre of Vojvodina as the user. The project value is EUR 32.6 million.

The project entails the construction of a new facility spanning 33,275.84 square metres, of which the gross area where medical activities will be performed spans 30,689.59 square metres.

The facility will have five floors and will feature a heated passage between Unit B and the Polyclinic and the Internal Medical Unit, as well as Unit A, where the Emergency Unit is located. It will have a total of 348 beds, of which 288 are regular beds, 22 are surgical intensive care beds, 24 are surgical semi-intensive care beds and 14 beds for transplantation units. The projected number of operating rooms is 16. 

All rooms will be furnished according to the relevant European standards which means that they will be single and double and have separate toilets. The blocks will have a total of 10 lifts and four staircases.
