From November 2023, electricity price for individual consumers will go up by 8%.
This price increase was approved yesterday by the Council of the Energy Agency of Serbia.
In other words, a kilowatt-hour of electricity for households and small consumers will be 10.26 dinars (14.29 dinars with VAT).
In order to cushion this price blow, and following the proposal of the Ministry of Mining and Energy, the Serbian government agreed to a recommendation that the Electric Power Industry of Serbia (EPS) grants 20 to 40 percent discounts to consumers who use electricity rationally.
Every consumer who has reduced their electricity consumption by more than five percent compared to the same month in the previous two years will receive reduced bills. For energy savings between 5 to 15 percent, EPS will grant a 20 percent discount and for energy savings between 15 to 20 percent, the discount will be 25 percent. Discounts will be calculated starting with October bills of this year and ending with bills issued in March next year.
