The deadline for employers to advertise new vacancies in their companies during the second cycle of the Moja Prva Plata (My First Salary) Programme has been extended to 23 September, due to a large number of applications received in recent days and the strong interest shown by employers.
By Thursday, 23 September, employers can post new vacancies in their companies on the website https://mojaprvaplata.gov.rs/ . The programme envisages companies training young candidates with the financial help of state subsidies with an option of employing them after nine months of training.
The programme is currently in its second cycle and will provide close to 10,000 young people, no older than 30 years of age, in Serbia, high school and university graduates without work experience, with a work opportunity.
According to the applications received so far, most of the posted vacancies are for high school graduates, namely shop staff, restaurant staff, administrative employees, but there are also vacancies for engineers, technologists, doctors and IT experts. Most entrepreneurs and micro-enterprises are interested in training and hiring new staff, while the whole process is digitalised and the selection is done online.
The programme also gives an opportunity to employers to increase the volume of business through new jobs, invest in human resources development and, at lower cost, improve existing teams.
The My First Salary programme will last nine months, during which the state will give young people a monthly stipend of 22,000 dinars for those with a high school diploma and 26,000 dinars for university graduates. Employers have the option of adding more funds to the stipend to the young people they choose.
The programme is implemented by the National Employment Service with the support of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, the Ministry of Finance, the Office for Information Technology and Electronic Administration and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
