The ballet spectacle The Nutcracker arrives again this year on 25th December at the mts Dvorana, performed in spectacular fashion by the Ukrainian Classical Ballet. Tickets are already on sale at mtsdvorana.rs and at the mts Dvorana box office.
Belgrade audiences will have the opportunity to delight in the magical world of Clara, a young girl who discovers an extraordinary gift under the Christmas tree – a wooden Nutcracker doll -and sets off on wondrous adventures set to the timeless music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
The traditional choreography is enhanced by modern set design and directorial solutions, sumptuous decorations and costumes, as well as contemporary video projections. The ballet troupe features soloists who are principal dancers from Europe’s most prestigious theatres.
The Nutcracker, the last of Tchaikovsky’s three ballets, despite the failure of its initial performance back in 1892, has become an indispensable part of the Christmas tradition, capturing the hearts of audiences across generations worldwide.
