This year’s the Night of Museums will take place across the country on 16th May.
The novelty is that the Marina Andric Foundation will award the best original exhibition that evening. The Foundation named after Marina Andrić, the art historian and longtime collaborator of the Night of Museums, was founded to encourage the development of creative curatorial ideas and support innovative approaches to the interaction with young audiences and those artists who want to push the boundaries of art.

The competition for the exhibition of the 17th Night of Museums is allocated 150,000 dinars of prize money which will be awarded to the institution or author of a project who meet the following criteria: original idea, innovative approach to implementation, creativity, application of the postulates of contemporary museum practice, interaction with the public, participation and atmosphere it creates.
Since 70% of the visitors to this event are young people (18-35 years old), the competition is guided by the idea that Marina Andrić herself advocated – young people have to participate in creating contemporary and communicative programmes.
Original content, specially created for the Night of Museums, is eligible for participation in the competition and interested parties can apply by 1st April 2020 at [email protected] .
The public will vote for the best exhibition via a survey during the Night of Museums at the participating venues.
