The first Hard Rock Cafe in Serbia was opened today in Belgrade, featuring 18 authentic exhibits from the world of rock music, including the best-selling records of The Beatles and a guitar from the band Scorpions.
“These are all authentic guitars; we have a forensic team, and they are kept under strictly controlled conditions, in display cases, especially the stage costumes. In some cases, even traces of make-up are allowed to remain in order to preserve authenticity,” said Hard Rock Cafe representative Aleksandar Ercegovčević.
He added that some of the exhibits and items are donated by performers, while others are purchased by Hard Rock Cafe at auctions, and that the overall Hard Rock Cafe collection includes more than 88,000 pieces of memorabilia, guitars, stage costumes and other items.
As he stated, the exhibition of items is changed every seven years.
The Hard Rock Cafe is located at 5 Republic Square, spread over two floors, with more than 250 seats, two kitchens and two bars. Opening hours are from 8 am to 11 pm, and at weekends until 1 am.
Hard Rock Cafe is an international chain of themed restaurants, hotels and casinos, currently operating in more than 60 countries worldwide. It was founded in 1971.
