The biggest music attraction in 2017, known for his worldwide hit song “Despacito”, Luis Fonsi will hold a concert in Belgrade, at Kombank Arena, on 24th November.
Fonsi is currently on this Love+Dance tour that is proving to be very successful. The song is a collaboration with the rapper Daddy Yankee, and since its release in January this year, it has been seen by over 3.9 billion people on YouTube. The song became an instant number one hit in almost all countries in the world, and was voted the top summer song of 2017.
The song’s remix, featuring Justin Bieber, reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 for the week ending May 27, 2017, becoming both Fonsi and Yankee’s first number one on the chart, and Bieber’s fifth. Bieber promoted the remix at one of his shows in Puerto Rico, inviting Fonsi onto stage to perform the duet with him. The song remained number one for 16 consecutive weeks, tying One Sweet Day, by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men as the longest reigning top song in the chart’s history.
Fonsi, who hails from Puerto Rico, received awarded a Latin Grammy Award for “Song of the Year” for his composition “Aquí Estoy Yo” in November 2009. He has also successfully collaborated with a number of singers, including Christina Aguillera.
