In addition to all the price increases that people in Serbia have to bear, the prices of services in some banks have been higher since yesterday, and there are also new charges, such as the one caused by an incorrectly entered PIN during a cash withdrawal, a mistake that could cost around 100 dinars.
According to announcements by some banks, the price of several services such as bank account maintenance, cheque issuance and e-banking fees increased since yesterday.
Although not all banks have announced a price increase, the issuing of a set of cheques will now cost 300 dinars, instead of the previous 200, and the issuing of an emergency credit/debit card, which was free of charge until now, will cost now 400 dinars, while the delivery of the same at home, which until now cost a symbolic 50 dinars, now costs 800 dinars.
The list of price increases doesn’t end there, and bank customers will have to pay a higher fee for withdrawing money from another bank’s ATM, as well as for transactions done via e-banking.
From today, there will also be a charge for multiple attempts to withdraw cash from an ATM and unsuccessful attempts to pay via online. Even if you lose your credit/debit card through no fault of your own and have up to 3,000 dinars on it, you will have to bear the cost of the bank issuing a new one.
The bank will cover this cost only if the available amount on the account is higher than 3,000 dinars or if you can prove that you did not misuse the card or were evidently ‘negligent’.
