The Environmental Protection Secretariat has invited Belgrade residents to apply for subsidies amounting to 5,000 dinars each as financial support in the purchase of bicycles, under the auspices of the campaign called “Buy a bike, save 5,000 dinars”.
The Belgrade authorities have allocated a total of 10 million dinars for this purpose, of which 9 million dinars are earmarked for the financial support of citizens wanting to purchase a bicycle. This is sufficient to help 1,800 Belgrade residents.
The distribution of funds for the purchase of bicycles has been entrusted to the Jugo Cikling Kampanja Association from Belgrade. Yesterday morning, a notice was posted on the campaign’s website inviting citizens who had registered between 7 and 8 a.m. to reapply due to technical problems.
All natural persons with a valid identity card and residence in the administrative territory of the city of Belgrade at the time of submission of the application are entitled to participate. Only one person from the household can receive funds.
Belgrade residents can apply for the subsidy in the period from 22 September 2021 from 7:00 a.m. to 24 September at midnight. The application is made by filling in the required data exclusively on www.bicikl.info .
The bike must be purchased from domestic manufacturers, must be new, be it for children or adults, and must run on pedals. Furthermore, it is not possible to use the funds to buy an electric bike. If the price of the bicycle is less than the subsidy amount (5,000 dinars), the difference in price will be refunded.
