The biggest regional business event – Kopaonik Business Forum – starts

The 31st Kopaonik Business Forum (KBF), also dubbed as the Serbian Davos, began yesterday on the Kopaonik Mountain and will last until March 6.

Over 200 speakers will participate in plenary sessions, panel discussions, special events and peer-to-peer sessions.  The event is this year is held under the slogan “A New Global Context: The Challenges of an Uncertain Future”.

The roster of speakers includes academia (mostly economics, business management and ICT), politics, finance, and business. Flagship thematic studies from IFIs will be presented at the KBF along with new academic and policy papers by leading researchers and scholars in topical fields.

The head of the IMF office in Serbia, Yulia Ustyugova, the EBRD’s leading regional economist for the Western Balkans, Peter Tabak, and the World Bank’s lead country economist Richard Record, will participate in the first panel of this year’s KBF.

On the last day of the KBF, the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, will give her traditional interview, while several government ministers, Dubravka Đedović Handanović, Goran Vesić, Mihailo Jovanović, Darija Kisić, Slavica Đukić Dejanović, Jelena Begović, Tanja Miščević, Slobodan Cvetković and Jelena Tanasković taking part in panel discussions.

This year, a special panel discussion will be dedicated to sports, with Nebojša Čović, Ostoja Mijailović and Dobrivoje Tanasijević, known as Dan Tana, among others, taking part. On Wednesday, the renowned Serbian actor Milan Marić will take part in the panel Gender Equality for Social and Economic Development, with one of the panellists in the panel discussion dedicated to the creative industry also being actor and film director Dragan Bjelogrlić. On Tuesday, actress Hristina Popović will take part in the panel Impact of Activism in Promoting the ESG Concept.
