Here are a few important reminders and pieces of news that company owners, company directors, finance/accounting departments and other taxpayers should be mindful of in June:
The Serbian Business Registers Agency has launched a forced liquidation of 7,500 companies, which met the criteria for forced liquidation prescribed by Article 546, paragraph 1, point 10 of the Companies Act, because they failed to submit annual financial reports for two consecutive years (2015 and 2016) by the end of the 2017 business year. In the following days, the Agency will continue to initiate forced liquidation proceedings, at a similar pace, in the remaining 15,500 companies that meet the criteria for initiating this procedure.
June 5th – deadline for submission of notifications on concluded show business contracts in the previous month
June 5th – deadline for submission of the report on execution of the obligation of employment of persons with disabilities for the previous month
June 10th – deadline for filing a tax return and payment of non-life insurance premiums for the previous month
June 10th – deadline for filing a tax return and paying VAT for the previous month by the tax debtors referred to in Article 10 of the VAT Act
June 17th – deadline for payment of monthly advance tax on income from self-employment for the previous month
June 17th – deadline for payment of monthly advance payments on the revenues generated from self-employment for the previous month
June 17th – deadline for payment of salary contributions for priests and religious officials, for domestic nationals employed abroad and for foreign pensioners for the previous month
June 17th – deadline for filing a tax return and paying VAT for the previous month
June 17th – deadline for payment of advance payment of corporate income tax for the previous month
June 17th – deadline for payment of calculated excise for the period from the 16th to the end of the previous month
June 17th – deadline for filing a tax return for excise tax calculation for the previous month
June 17th – deadline for submission of tax returns and payment of excise on final energy consumption for the previous month
June 17th – deadline for filing a tax return on calculated contributions for compulsory social insurance for company founders or members
June 28th – payment of calculated excise for the period from 1st to 15th day of the month
3. Benchmark interest rate remains unchanged
The Executive Board of the National Bank of Serbia decided to keep the reference interest rate at 3.0%. In reaching such a decision, the Executive Board, first of all, had in mind the expected inflation fluctuations and relevant factors from the domestic and international environment in the following period. The inflation is fluctuating in line with the expectations of the Executive Board, namely, it has been low and stable for six consecutive years, and in March, it stood at 2.8% YoY.
