Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has announced that the Swiss company, Barry Callebaut, will open the largest chocolate factory in Southeast Europe in Novi Sad in April.
“In the world, 75% of chocolate is produced from raw materials sourced by Barry Callebaut,” said Vučić in his guest appearance on the Happy TV, adding that “the planned annual export of chocolate from the Novi Sad factory will be 95.7 million euro”.
Commenting on several foreign investments in Serbia, Vucic said that China’s Linglong will invest up to 800 million euro in Zrenjanin.
He also announced that he will soon attend the official opening of Xingyu’s seventh factory. This one is located in Nis and will produce car lights.
“We are waiting for MTU to open a production facility in Stara Pazova, as well as Continental and Nidec to open theirs in Novi Sad. These are important investments that translate into great export and numerous new jobs,” the Serbian President underlined.
