Starbucks coming to Serbia

WSE-listed restaurant operator AmRest announced the plan to launch the Starbucks brand on the Serbian market, with the first outlet to be opened in Belgrade this year.

AmRest is the leading operator of Starbucks cafes in the region of Central Europe, and Serbia is the latest market where the company is going to launch.

Starbucks’ CEO at AmRest, Adam Mularuk expressed his satisfaction that the first store would be opened in Belgrade and that guests would be able to enjoy “a unique Starbucks experience” in Serbia.

“Serbia is a country with a culture of drinking coffee, and we are looking forward to becoming part of it. We are going to give our consumers a place where they will be able to enjoy quality coffee and discover our passion,” Mularuk said.

The Starbucks brand has been a part of the AmRest portfolio since 2008, when the first store opened in Prague.

The company currently runs over 300 Starbucks cafes in seven countries – Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.
