Serbian Minister of Economy, Goran Knezevic has officially opened a new production plant of the Spanish company Refisa in Priboj which will produce polyester components for railways and subways.
Spanish Refisa is the first investor in the Priboj Free zone, which has been established on the premises of the former FAP’s production facility.
In the upcoming months, negotiations with several foreign companies, which care planning to employ several hundred workers in the next few years, are expected to conclude – Minister Knezevic said at the opening.
The Spanish manufacturer, which currently employs 20 workers, will hire another 50 by the year end – the official website of the Priboj municipality states.
In addition to the representatives of the Spanish company, the opening ceremony was also attended by the heads of Priboj’s local government, Deputy Mayor Krsto Janjusevic, the former Serbian Justice Minister, Nikola Selakovic, and an advisor to the Serbian Prime Minister,Joerg Heskens.
