Smederevo Ironworks overtakes Fiat as No 1 exporter

The value of exports, generated by the 15 biggest exporters in Serbia, amounted to 347.5 million EUR in January this year.

HBIS Group, the owner of Smederevo Ironworks (Smederevska Zelezara), which exports amounted to 70.4 million EUR, is now the biggest exporter in Serbia – the Ministry of Finance has announced.

The former biggest exporter, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), is the second largest with the export of 64.1 million EUR.

Tigar Tyres from Pirot is in the third position with the export of 30.5 million EUR. Next are the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) with 28 million EUR, Petrohemija from Pancevo with 21.1 million EUR, Robert Bosch from Belgrade with 17.9 million EUR, Tetra Pak from Belgrade with 16 million EUR, Hemofarm from Vrsac with 14.2 million EUR, YURA Corporation from Raca with 13.9 million EUR, and Leoni from Prokuplje with 13.3 million EUR.

Next on the list of the top exporters are Grundfos from Indjija with 13.2 million EUR, RTB Bor with 12.7 million EUR, Henkel with 11.5 million EUR, Delphi Packard from Novi Sad with 10.5 million EUR and Gorenje with the export of 10.2 million EUR.
