Although there has been a significant increase in the prices of accommodation in the mountain resorts in Serbia, accommodation capacities are almost full.
For instance, renting an apartment on one of the Serbian mountains cost 25 euros a night in November this year, but if you want to rent the same apartment during the upcoming holidays, it will set you back 120 euros a night.
And that’s not all! If you have to use sheets and towels in the apartment, you have to pay extra. And, of course, the minimum length of stay is four nights. For instance, an apartment in Zlatibor offers accommodation for two people on 31 December and 1 January for the incredible sum of 1,330 euros for an overnight stay, meals not included.
As stated in the description of this apartment, you get “the entire apartment to yourself, free wi-fi and mountain views.” The apartment has one bedroom and one bathroom. It has a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and a courtyard with views of Zlatibor. Towels and bed linen are provided, and there is a flat-screen TV with cable channels” reads the description.
In addition to the price of 152,862 dinars, a fee in the amount of 470 dinars must be paid, which gets you free toilet paper. This price has shocked many, since the apartment is definitely not in the luxury category as there are no features like sauna, Jacuzzi or swimming pool that constitute a luxury apartment. Also, it would cost you less to vacation in the Maldives or Zanzibar or in one of the European capitals.
