Sheraton to open a hotel in Novi Sad soon

The renowned hotel chain, Sheraton is coming to Serbia, and the first hotel they are going to open will be in Novi Sad – the company says.

The opening is scheduled for November 2017, and the hotel will be located on the Europe Boulevard in Novi Sad. Bookings are still not available.

Serbian businessman, Miodrag Kostic is the owner of the building that will house the Sheraton Hotel. He bought the building from another businessman from Novi Sad, Vojislav Gajic last year. The building spans 8,500 square metres and it took almost six years to build it.

Kostic originally planned to open a Holiday Inn hotel here, and later changed his mind and wanted to open a Crowne Plaza hotel in the location. However, the negotiations failed and he turned to Sheraton.

There are over 435 Sheraton hotels in worldwide, in 70 states, and this is considered one of the most luxurious hotel chains in the world. The hotel in Novi Sad will also have a wellness area with an indoor swimming pool, a conference centre with several multi-functional rooms, an international cuisine restaurant and other amenities. It is probably going to be 4+ stars.

There will be a total of 124 rooms available, including two rooms for guests with special needs. On top of that, the hotel will have a specialized club, i.e. an entire floor of luxurious suites.
