Serbian President to officially open Hansgrohe’s factory in Valjevo

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, will attend today the official opening of the sanitary equipment factory of the German company Hansgrohe in Valjevo, it was announced on the President’s official website.

The ceremony is scheduled for noon.

The state approved subsidies of 15.5 million euros to this German company back in October 2021. The agreement on the allocation of incentive funds was signed by the Serbian Ministry of Economy and Hansgrohe d.o.o. Belgrade. The German company is obligated to employ 1,000 workers by 2028 and to invest tangible and intangible assets in the amount of at least 85 million euros in the production facility in Valjevo by the end of 2027.

The company also received 13 hectares of land as a gift. The land is located in the Valjevo Business Zone following the Valjevo Assembly deciding in December 2021 to cede the land to the German investor.
