Serbian construction companies mostly engaged in Russia, Germany and Saudi Arabia

The value of construction work carried out by Serbian companies abroad in 2019 is about 19.45 billion dinars, announced the State Statistical Office.

The highest construction activity was in Russia (31% of the total value of the construction work done), followed by Germany (22.8%), Saudi Arabia (15.2%) and Montenegro (9.6%).

Building contractors from Serbia earned more abroad through the construction of buildings worth 11.4 billion dinars, which represents 58.6% of the total value of the works carried out.

Last year 1,429 workers from Serbia were hired to work at construction sites abroad. Most of them worked in Germany, Montenegro, Russia and Croatia.
