Serbia to get its first convenience store without shop assistants

A new, innovative franchise has arrived in Serbia – Vendobox stores that are open 24 hours a day and where various products can be purchased from vending machines

Vendobox is a young franchise, created a year and a half ago in Hungary and so far they have opened 40 stores mainly in Budapest, but also in other Hungarian cities. The vending machines sell snacks, drinks, and coffee, and will also have ATMs for withdrawing money. The advantage of these stores is that they are open 24 hours, seven days a week and do not require a shop assistant to operate.

The first Vendobox store will open in mid-July in Belgrade, on Prizrenska Street. The franchisee for Serbia and Croatia, Bogi Cvetković, says that the franchise will soon be available to other interested parties in these markets.

“The advantage of this concept is that it can work even in small towns with a population of 15,000. It is important that the size of the premises range from 20 to 50 square metres and that they are located near schools, bus or train stations,” explains Cvetković.
