Kosovo introducing a 100% fee on Serbian goods caused EUR 500 million worth of damages to the Serbian economy – said the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric.
At a press conference, Djuric renounced the statement given by the Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, who said that the damages were only worth several million euros.

“Reducing the worth of damages in order for official Pristina to minimize the pressure from the international community is nothing but twisting reality and misrepresentation of facts,” said Djuric.
He added that Pristina representatives should say who was responsible for smuggling Serbian goods into the territory of Kosovo, which Thaci also mentioned.
“Since he mentioned smuggling, which does exist, competent institution from Kosovo and neighbouring countries that participate in the smuggling should find persons responsible for the smuggling of enormous amounts of goods through North Macedonia to Kosovo and name the companies close to the Kosovo government which have profited the most from the imposition of fees on Serbian goods,” Djuric said.
