The Serbian Health Ministry said in its daily 3:00 pm bulletin on Tuesday that 6 people died of coronavirus-related ailments over the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 6,976.
It said that 10,621 people had been tested over the previous 24 hours, including 132 who tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which is the lowest number of infected people per number of tested people in last year.
The total number of people tested to date stands at 4,293,037 with 715,147 confirmed cases.
The bulletin said that there are 407 hospitalized cases, including 20 patients on ventilators.
The mortality rate stands at 0.98%.
Belgrade still has the highest number of new infections while Novi Pazar’s number is still in double digits.
Out of 132 new cases of coronavirus, confirmed in the last 24 hours, 29 were registered in Belgrade, and only Novi Pazar has a double-digit number of infected people out of all other towns in Serbia, with 12 new cases.
