Serbia and Greece abolish roaming charges

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Thursday that Serbia and Greece have agreed to abolish roaming charges.

“We have negotiated a roaming agreement with Greece, according to which our citizens who come to Greece will no longer pay roaming tariffs abroad,” a government press release quoted her as saying.

She said mobile phone calls from Greece to Serbia will cost as much as local calls.

Brnabic also said that the agreement to abolish roaming charges will be signed next week by Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Minister Tatjana Matic and will take effect immediately.

The Serbian Prime Minister is in Athens to attend the Delphi Economic Forum. She met with her Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and President Katerina Sakelaropoulou on Thursday.
