Serbian Foreign Minister, Nikola Selaković, said yesterday, in a conversation with Italian Ambassador to Serbia, Carlo Lo Cascio, that Italy is one of the most important partners of Serbia in terms of trade.
Selaković also said that Italy is the second-largest external trade partner to Serbia, the second-largest foreign employer and a country that strongly supports Serbia on its road to EU membership.
Foreign Minister also that as many as 1,789 Italian companies operate in Serbia, employing more than 26,000 people, and underline that Serbia will continue investing effort in providing good conditions for investments and continuous support to Italian investors.
The Minister added that Serbia is interested in holding the fourth joint session of the two governments in Belgrade, which would give further impetus to cooperation at the institutional level and send a strong message to Italian entrepreneurs to continue investing in Serbia. Minister Selaković finally thanked Italy for the continuous support to Serbia for its efforts to join the EU.
