Quite unexpectedly, Ryanair has announced that it would launch a new flight, from Niš to Frankfurt – Hahn Airport, on January 13, 2020.
A press release said that tickets from Niš to Frankfurt-Hahn would cost as little as 29 Euro. The flights will be on Mondays and Fridays as of January 13 next year.
Frankfurt–Hahn Airport is an international airport in the municipality of Hahn, Rhineland-Palatinate. The airport is equidistant between Frankfurt and Luxembourg – about 120 km to each city by road. The closest major cities are Koblenz at about 70 km and Mainz at about 90 km. The airport served 2.47 million passengers in 2017,

“People who are flying from Niš can now book their holidays on six twice-weekly winter routes to Berlin Schonefeld, Bratislava, Frankfurt Hahn, Malta, Milan Bergamo, and Stockholm, as far out as March 2020, enjoying even lower fares and Ryanair’s customer care improvements”, the company said in a statement.
Air Serbia started flying to Frankfurt-Hahn in July this year, following the Serbian government deciding to treat this route as one of 12 routes of public importance, for which Air Serbia receives state subsidies.
