The Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) named Branko Ruzic, its deputy leader and former Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, as Prime Minister’s first deputy and the minister of Education, Science and Technological Development.
SPS Vice President Novica Toncev, who will be a minister without a portfolio, said tonight that he still does not know what his specific task in the new government will be.
Toncev told Tanjug that his duties depend on the Prime Minister’s decision.
He did not want to comment further on his participation in the Government of Serbia, he only said that he would address a press conference soon.

Both Ruzic’s and Toncev’s positions were vacant and it was up to SPS to decide who to appoint to them.
Also, the newly appointed Speaker of the Serbian Parliament and President of the SPS, Ivica Dacic has confirmed that Dusan Bajatovic will remain at the helm of Srbijagas and that the SPS will also appoint a managing director of another prominent public enterprise, without specifying which.
