Russian furniture manufacturer Mnogo Mebeli, which operates in Serbia under the name Nefa Group, plans to open a plant in Vranje by the end of May 2017, and employ 350 people, according to the official website of the city of Vranje.
Assistant Mayor of Vranje, Aleksandar Stojkovic says the production facility of Russian furniture company will be located on 10,000 square meters of rented space of the Vranje-based textile company Yumco.
He announced the contract on the facility lease with Yumco will be signed within 7 days.
According to Stojkovic, Russian Nefa group has already published a job ad for factory management, while the recruitment of production workers will start on 1st April.
Next year, the company is planning to build a production plant of 30,000 square meters, and employ about 1,000 workers in the Vranje Free zone, according to the website of the city of Vranje.
Nefa Group also plans to open 500 furniture stores in Europe, including 30 in Serbia.
