The Red Army Ensemble, Alexandrov will hold a concert on 23rd June, in front of the Temple of St. Sava in Belgrade, the organizer of CEBEF announced. The admission to the performance of the famous Russian ensemble is free of charge and the concert starts at 8:30pm.
This is the first ever outdoor concert of Alexandrov in Belgrade. This famous ensemble has 112 members and comprises of a choir, an orchestra and a ballet.
50 members of Alexandrov’s choir, 30 members of the orchestra, 4 soloists and 26 players, led by 2 conductors, will perform on the plateau in front of the church.
The concert will last for one and a half hours.
The Alexandrov Ensemble had its first performance on 12th October, 1928 in the Central Hall of the Red Army, and it gained international fame in the mid-1930s.
This year, the ensemble celebrates its 90th anniversary.
