On the occasion of the Science Day, Tuesday, 10th July, the Science Promotion Centre will hold robot races at the Scientific Club.
The Science Day, established by a decree of the Government of Serbia in 2010, takes place on the same day as Nikola Tesla’s birthday.
The Science Promotion Centre, located at Kralja Petra 46, Belgrade, will open its doors at 2pm and this is the place where local and foreign engineers will compete in the Engineering Race – Robot Marathon. The race starts at 5pm.
At the same address, but in the neighboring workshop, the Centre will hold constructor games aimed at the youngest visitors where they will be able to construct their machines from basic materials such as wooden slats, clips, adhesives, rubber, and transform them into vehicles, catapults, towers, planes…

Prior to that, in the hall of the University of Belgrade’s Rectorate, at noon, awards will be given to organizations and individuals who participated in the Public Call for Financing Science Promotion Projects and presented their original ideas in the shape of the projects that will be implemented next year.
Minister of Education of Science and Technology, Mladen Sarcevic and Rector of the University of Belgrade, Dr Vladimir Bumbasirevic will attend the ceremony, while the Director of the Science Promotion Centre, Dr Marko Krstic will give a welcome speech.
