The Regional Business Register will be operational by the end of this year and will contain basic information about companies from Serbia and Macedonia – says director of the Serbian Business Registers Agency, Zvonko Obradovic.
„The Register will contain the data about 400,000 business entities from Serbia and Macedonia and will be finished by the end of this year. We are talking about the data about companies and entrepreneurs, as well as the data about connected companies in the region“, Obradovic said at the Kopaonik Business Forum.
Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Croatia and Romania have all expressed interest in joining the project.
Once the company data from all regional countries is entered, the register’s users will have access to information about close to a million companies and business people operating in the region.
In the initial phase, the Register will contain basic information about companies – year of foundation, business activity, number of employees, branch offices etc.
Obradovic also says that there are a lot of ideas about how to expand the Register including adding information about company history or, for instance, about their bank accounts being frozen.
„This type of information can be entered because the register is designed so that it can be customized and expanded“, Obradovic adds.
