City and intercity transport could resume after May 4, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced yesterday during the opening ceremony of a new hospital for the treatment of COVID-19 patients in Belgrade.
Vucic said that public transport could resume soon, bearing in mind that a large number of people will go back to work in the near future.
“If all goes well, I expect air traffic to partially resume its operations after 1 May. We will also start with a partial re-launch of intercity transport and from 4 May, with a partial re-launch of public transport in cities as well,” he added.

“All of this remains to be seen, but if 50 or 60% of people return to work, which will be the case, they will still have to adhere to the strictest measures in public transport and wear masks,” Vucic concluded.
